Rene,

I did not intentionally leave Keri out of the emails I sent today. I=20
did not have her email address - but I also thought that both you and=20
she had told me a while ago that she didn't check her emails regularly,=20
and that I could send stuff through you (Rene). I assumed you would=20
share with her - but I should have said it directly in my very first=20
email. Sorry about that.

I agree with everything you said. And, I also agree that, as=20
Chairperson, Keri needs to make final decisions, and present the budget=20
and outline of activities.

I'm glad that Dave was at the meeting, and also glad he is willing to=20
help. But I don't think that Keri or any of the rest of us -=20
representing the Chamber which is now the sponsoring group - should=20
feel compelled to run it like it was run previously. In fact, now is=20
the time to try some new things!

I'm glad that the work that is going into the event is being done now=20
(instead of later) - but I do have a concern about all the money we are=20
asking businesses to fork over for the car show. I'm really afraid that=20
between that and paying dues this fall - that it may impact the=20
Visitor's Guide, and the Winter Chill Thrill/Deal games - both of which=20
are in their final stages. I hope I'm wrong on that.

Anyway - I think that Keri has put a lot of thought and work into the=20
project - and Darcie, Patty and John have done a bang up job on the ads=20
& donations - and revamping the flyer is a big job for you and Stacey.=20
I really haven't done much except make some contacts, but I hope to do=20
more as needed.

We are on the right track. I just don't think we should be bullied or=20
guilted into doing things we don't feel we should.

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>Hi all -</smaller></fontfamily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>Here is some info. on the
Car Show that I thought I would pass along to you:</smaller></fontfamily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>1) I emailed Jeff Babcock
about chairing the "games" - but haven't heard back yet</smaller></fontfami=
ly>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>2) I confirmed that the
"Princess Party" is from 1 to 4=A0 on Saturday (place TBD)</smaller></fontf=
amily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>3) I confirmed that the
"Bake Sale" would be on Saturday (place & time=A0TBD)</smaller></fontfamily=
>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>4) I let Nancy Creuger know
that Marc Schillinger would be doing concessions again this year</smaller><=
/fontfamily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>5) I confirmed that the Jr.
Priscilla Club is sponsoring a Luncheon & Fashion Show at
Breakers-on-the-Bay at noon on Saturday, May 16. This was not on the
flyer last year, and maybe it is not appropriate to include - but I
just wanted you to be aware of the event that weekend.</smaller></fontfamil=
y>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>6) I already noted the
dates & times for the Spaghetti dinner on Saturday and Pancake
Breakfast on Sunday - both confirmed.</smaller></fontfamily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>7) I found out HOW MANY
SCOUTS are involved currently in the Port Austin/Kinde areas:</smaller></fo=
ntfamily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>Girls: about 43 total</smaller><=
/fontfamily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>(Nancy Creuger - 7 in
oldest group; Beth Fischer - 9 in 5th/6th grade group; Heather - 9 in
3rd/4th grade group; Joann Cox - 16 in 1st/2nd grade group)</smaller></font=
family>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>Boys: about 15 total -
various ages, Brandi Gordon is the leader</smaller></fontfamily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>So that's about 58 - which
is WAY more than I thought there were - and more than there were last
year. And that does not count the Rangers (Marc's group).</smaller></fontfa=
mily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>8) And this is just a side
note from Joyce - I am astounded at the amount of money that needs to
be collected in order to run this event. I think we really need to
re-think all of the money that goes out for "prizes" and such. I think
we'd be better off making the car show FREE and not giving out big
prizes - we'd be farther ahead! Seriously. Also - if we are trying to
"re-vamp" the car show - we really have not done much of anything
different at this point. We're basically just picking up the pieces of
what is left of the car shows of the past.</smaller></fontfamily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><x-tad-bigger>=A0</x-tad-bigger></fontfam=
ily>

<fontfamily><param>Verdana</param><smaller>Okay - I'm done. Again #8
is just my opinion. Just had to get it out.</smaller></fontfamily>
